LOS ANGELES CITY PRE ACADEMY TRAINING (LAC-PAT)
About
Are you at least 16 and thinking about becoming a LA City Lifeguard? This class will introduce you to the basic skills needed to prepare for our Lifeguard Academy and to be a lifeguard. Los Angeles City Pre-Academy Training (LAC-PAT) is taught in 3 modules and is geared towards individuals who want to be familiarized with Basic Life Support (CPR), Basic First Aid, and LA City Life Saving techniques. Preparing to be a lifeguard also requires building strength, technique and endurance in swimming. All of these skills will be taught for FREE.
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR COURSE (WSI)
To train instructor candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety courses, six levels of Learn-to-Swim, three levels of Preschool Aquatics and two levels of Parent and Child Aquatics.
